Now I realize this anime is childish. All 3 villains we've seen made questionable decisions.

wish the spells were transliterated and explained as a small note at the top like they do in other animes, instead of directly translating it, would've made for a better reading experience i think.

I guess my main question is why do they translate spells to ‘kafrizz’ and stuff like that.. it makes it feel way too childish, wouldve been nice if they just spelt it the way the characters are saying it in Japanese

Merazoma is translated as Kafrizz because that how it is called in the games

The english subs are using localized names for the spells. Same names you find in English version of Dragon Quest games

Yea I prefer if they kept the Japanese names in the translation
